The would always catch me at a busy moment, but I’d click the button and promptly forget about it.Today was the day that I was finally going to solve this issue. The ability to quickly build my personal lab without huge costs, to see the device in action, under my test scenarios, it's a critical point for me.Maybe it's just me, but I cannot be convinced to take on granted the manufacturer words, by just reading the documentation.

As of firmware 1.8.5, the ERLite natively supports No-IP, and I configured it from the command line as follows: configure set service dns dynamic interface eth0 service noip host-name **myhostnane.com** set service dns dynamic interface eth0 service noip login **mynoipemail** set service dns dynamic interface eth0 service noip password **mynoippassword** set service dns dynamic interface eth0 service noip protocol noip commit save exit See this page for more details.Within ISA 2006, the Web Proxy Filter is an application filter and not an independent service.ISA 2006 Firewall is available as a trial on Microsoft site.(Note that the page is old, and doesn’t show noip as a protocol, but per this forum post, it’s available in firmware 1.8.5 and later) To my surprise, however, the ERLite does not send an update to the DDNS provider unless the external IP address changes.(See the last paragraph of this page) While we don’t have a static IP address from our ISP, it doesn’t tend to change. Ever since I set this up, I’ve been getting emails every month saying “Your hostname is expiring, click here to renew”.
