After updating bios of msi 7142 mother board on reboot the machine don't give any display as my pc is branded i hope it does not support the bios downloaded from msi .Now i have backup of original bios as the pc don't have any display how to restore original bios one more thing the floppy drive is not working in my machine Did you try resetting the BIOS with the clear CMOS jumper? This forum has many stories of failed BIOS updates. Consult the instructions that came with the update to see what, if any, recovery options are available. But considering the often dire consequences of a failure you should take such updates very seriously.
Hi but one thing i would like to add that it is possible to over clock this mother board just see the link below this is the validation of my another branded pc with same mother board.
This machine was on A09, and Dell has A12 on their support site.
I had also updated the Intel HD 3000 video driver from Intel’s site, so that might also be required.
I have an APU and at the time I was installing my GPU wasn't in there. I have tried using my GPU as well but did the same thing, I think my mobo is dead, my usb devices aren't turning on.
I thought everything went fine during the AMI BIOS update, but when the loading bar was at 100% my computer restarted with no screen output.
